Today in America we celebrate our freedom from British. I hope that everybody that lives in America here have a nice Fourth of July!

Must be a little strange, not sharing most of the server's holidays, but the main attraction is fireworks, and luckily I have one of the biggest ones in American close by to see

I can see a lot of fireworks from my backyard because I have a really nice view from it.

and america doesn't? don't you have presidents day or something like that and then a bunch of other stuff that seems pointless. i bet you get a day off to remember some dead soldiers as well whereas we remember them just not on holiday

This has gotten a bit off topic. I won't go and list off all of the holidays but we get a decent amount of days off. America is a country that enjoys its freedom so we like to "free" ourselves from our everyday schedules for something a bit different than the usual school or work day. It really is fun though to see other cultures and what they do so I feel we had a good conversation here.

Digremlin please stop going off-topic whenever I post a thread about a holiday we celebrate in America. (And please don't reply to this post.)
