Chris columbo's dream, a sweeping golurk... Golurk @ Focus Sash Trait: Iron Fist EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Rock Polish - Drain Punch/Fire punch - Earthquake - Shadow Punch In my opinion Iron fist Golurk is the best golurk set, maybe acess to dynamic punch is good, yet Drain punch with iron fist has nearly same power(95.7 power), but combinning Drain punch with a focus sash allows us to survive 1 more hit after being hit, if we drain enough hp, but what makes iron fist useful on golurk is having a good STAB physical ghost move such as Shadow punch, Rock polish is what allows us to sweep, maybe still outspeeded by scarfed users, but we take out as much as we can and as hard as we can, earthquake is a powerful move to golurk dealing heavy load of damage to oponents. Fire punch is a variable to Drain punch having same power but diferent element and effect, FIre punch OHKO's Scizors and leaves skarmories with heavy scars. This golurk has alot of counters, but that doesn't stop it from being one of best golurk sets. This set was for you chris.

Is this set for OU? Because if it is, I think Jolly would be a much more appropriate nature. The Focus Sash seems kind of random, as well...

It is for OU, but it needs adamant to hit hard enough to kill. WIthouth it doesn't hit hard enough to sweep.

The thing is though, that even after one boost, he gets outsped by a lot of stuff in OU. Jolly will help him outspeed a little bit more. I think Life Orb is a better choice for an item, since you have Drain Punch to recover some of the lost health.

Life orb is a good idea, but even with a little more boost he's still same outspeeded by several pokemons.

Ya know, a few days ago, my friend was telling me my Conkeldurr moveset is walled by Golurk. We both laughed at that.
Then you post this...
I do agree with Zero in saying that the Focus Sash is kinda random. If you're not going for Life Orb or a choice set, at least put on Leftovers.

You just made that reference.... You went there.... Scorn....
I'm doubting the set as an OU set. I should try it in UU or something.

The use of a pokemon is up to yourself. And the use of focus sash is to live some hits that could possibly kill it so it set ups.

But Stealth Rocks are almost always present on the field, and trying to set up early game with Golurk isn't the best idea either. I guess it all depends on the team though....
Now if it was late-game with a couple of layers of Spikes and some rocks, I think he might pull it off.

We have Drain punch to recover the hp and get 1 more survive from drain punch, not to mention ice shard and several scarfed pokemon can OHKO golurk(example: surf latios). Focus sash would help him live a hit of those if he's stll on full hp.
