I just transferred a hacked Shiny Rayquaza to my Pokemon Y, so this means that Pokebank is not 100% hack proof. Be careful when wonder trading, and trading on the GTS.

It probably only checks for legality.

Maybe we can transfer from 5th gen to 6th hacked pokemon, but when trading online it could be a different story.

If they are legit enough to pass through PokeBank, I really don't think it matters when you trade them online, since I'm pretty sure they use the same checking system. Honestly, if they are 100% legal, you wouldn't even know the difference.

Well, that can be good or bad news depending on what you do with it I guess. Careful not to break your game guys.

Wonder Trade will no longer be the same after this. Great... that means our games could be already broken without us knowing.....

I think it'll be easy to know that if you get a no guard ninjask with sheer cold, you should probably just release it =p
Other than that I always plan on breeding my own pokemon from anything I get from Wonder Trade, so whatever I get will be technically legal. In theory I could then just release the parent if I'm worried.
Also, I don't think hacks will break your game. There's a different between hacked pokemon and bad data.

You'd think they could put in some extra data for each pokemon that would be really hard to recreate, and and use that as a "hack checker." This isn't on the GB anymore; there's probably room for one more hidden variable or something. They could like do a complex series of hashes when you catch a pokemon based on its unchangeable features like IVs, nature, personality value, shiny status, etc., and store the final product as a new variable with the pokemon's data. And when someone tries to transfer or trade the pokemon, do the process again and see if the result is the same as the value in the new part of the pokemon's data. If the person hacked the pokemon, they probably wouldn't have known what to put for the new variable and the game could detect it as hacked. It would theoretically be crackable, but it could be made really hard. I R disappoint that Game Freak hasn't thought of something like this already.

As long as you didn't AR them to have anything that they couldn't have if you got them legally (e.g., Rayquaza with Huge Power), it should be fine according to what people seem to be saying.

It seems like Pokemon with unreleased HA can pass over as well. I'm pretty tempted at bringing over a Sheer Force Feraligatr.....
