Since it feels like I come here to discuss everything except what this forum is dedicated to, here's another general gaming topic.
Just post your top few video game soundtracks with a sample and a quick description of why you like it (I won't be demanding big essays like I did with the favorite game thread.) Try to just post links so we're not flooded with embedded videos.
Here's my top
1. Touhou 14: Double Dealing Character - I'm sure most people who've seen me around here for a while know that I'm obsessed with Touhou. The 14th game made a few slight tweaks to the formula for Touhou soundtracks and came up with some of the best songs in the whole series. It's artsy, it's catchy, it's intelligently written, it's great background music for a great game.

2. Katawa Shoujo - I fairly recently got into visual novels, and this one has one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard. I'll even go far enough to say that it speaks to me on many levels. The soundtrack is very light-hearted for the most part, but has some incredibly engaging songs that you'll find yourself humming along with almost all of the time. And don't even get me started on some of the more emotional songs. (The game AND it's soundtrack are both free too! Go play it, it's quite a moving experience.)

3. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance - High octane, distinctly stylized, industrial hard rock. It's damn good, and it goes perfectly with the game.

4. Bayonetta - By the same people who made Metal Gear Rising. Platinum makes some damn good soundtracks. It's a bunch of jazzy dance-like songs and some of the most epic boss themes you'll ever hear, and this is coming from someone who hates using the word epic to mean grand and awesome rather than long. It's all very stylish and fitting to the game.

5. Saya no Uta (Song of Saya) - Another visual novel. The soundtrack for Saya no Uta is an experience. The songs are all creepy and unnerving, yet have something inherently beautiful about them. It's almost indescribable. (If you want to step out of your comfort zone and experience one of the greatest pieces of horror and beauty you'll ever find, read this one).

6. Pokemon Silver/Gold/Crystal - Gen II had really awesome music that still sounds awesome today. It's not obnoxiously old sounding either like a lot of older games. It's aged FANTASTICALLY. Well, I'm sure you've all heard it... I won't even bother with a link...
Other notable ones that I won't type things out for:
Persona 4
Shin Megami Tensei (SNES)
Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Resident Evil 2
eXceed 3rd: Jade Penetrate ~ Black Package
