Spencer I really don't want to sound rude, but NO GAME HAVE A CHARACTER LIMIT. The more characters on a game doesn't increase the data use, it is the saved amount of data that increases it. If there was a character limit for games, I am pretty sure Pokemon is way over that.

Well Pokemon works differently. When you think about it, RPG characters are controlled the same, except some characters are restricted in different ways such as moves and stats. A game like SSBB were charters have different abilities, meaning different ways to play, requires memory, or as nintendo calls it, blocks. SSBB took about 30 Blocks which was really sad to people who also wanted to play other games.

I am sure Nintendo thought everything over this time, I won't doubt if there is already a SD Card in the Wii U. Brawl really didn't take up too much space, I have other 12 games saved on my Wii and still have plenty of data remaining.

If a game with only 50 different prominent characters is too much data, then i'm sorry, but nintendo would be slipping compared to microsoft and sony. And if it does, then the game would be so good that you wouldn't have to play another game.
You need to really realise that the wii u isn't going to be the equivalent to something that was made 5 or 6 years ago. Times change.
