On that day, the Overused tier received a grim reminder. They lived in fear of the Ubers, and were disgraced to live in these cages they called ban lists.

None of my other Pokemon have access to effective recovery except Giratina, who has to put itself to sleep, and all of my Pokemon would greatly appreciate said recovery, so Chansey is here to provide valuable Wish support. In addition, status, in particular paralyzation, greatly hampers most of my Pokemon, making Heal Bell support quite welcome as well. I prefer Softboiled over Protect because the instant recovery eases prediction. Toxic is helpful to kill things that Chansey walls.

With Wish support, two Choice Scarf users and several specialized walls, a Rapid Spinner is essential. I pick Excadrill because of its semi-unique typing, offensive presence, and access to Stealth Rock. Stealth Rock in particular is important for my sweepers to attain several KOs that they would not be able to achieve otherwise. I use Mold Breaker over Sand Rush because it allows Excadrill to hit hard with a possibly boosted Earthquake. The given EVs give Excadrill a bonus point in attack, and allow it to outspeed 4 Spe Landorus-T.

I choose Mewtwo as the revenge-killer of my team because of its ridiculous speed and solid coverage. Almost all other Choice Scarf users are outsped, and most +1 Pokemon are outsped as well. Choice Scarf Mewtwo is able to outspeed even +2 Blaziken, allowing it to switch into Blaziken with impunity in the rain. Trick cripples troublesome walls and boosting sweepers that my team might otherwise have trouble with, such as Lugia and Dialga.

My team has a heavy reliance on entry hazards. For this reason, a spinblocker is more or less mandatory. Giratina is an excellent spinblocker for a stall team thanks to its enormous defenses, and also handles Extremekiller Arceus very well. I choose Giratina over Ghost Arceus primarily because of Giratina’s ability to hold leftovers, which allows it to spend less time healing and more time setting things on fire.

Rain support helps dampen Excadrill’s and Ferrothorn’s weakness to fire-type moves to an extent, and makes Kyogre especially threatening against Sand and Sun teams. Although I already have a Choice Scarf user, Modest Choice Scarf Kyogre really isn’t quick enough to revenge-kill especially fast Pokemon, and as such, acts as my team’s main source of damage output. I prefer Choice Scarf Kyogre over Choice Specs Kyogre because Choice Scarf Mewtwo often lacks the sufficient power to perform clean sweeps, so a back-up sweeper is needed, and Choice Specs Kyogre is much too slow for that. Water Spout is an excellent sweeping tool against slower teams once the few Pokemon that can take it are weakened or gone, while Surf is used instead when Kyogre is low on health.
