So everyone, i think we all know about the GB/GBC and even those who never owned it probably have emulated some games(I am not supporting illegal roms and/or emulation in case someone says i was doing such or similar). But about this old classic perhaps we should discuss a little about it, such as favorite games, features you enjoyed, etc. The Gameboy/Gameboy color back in the days was the best handheld(Most others being quite simple similar to game and watch). Now starting a quick conversation i would say we all will probably mention pokemon as their favorite or best as it was technically, but i want to say one of the best games for the old GB was Metroid II the return of Samus.

Other than Pokemon, I hadn't really played any other GB/GBC games. I did one non-Pokemon games for it but I hated it so much.

I actually found a copy of Metroid II. It was a pretty awesome find. That game was pretty good, but there were a lot of objective flaws I couldn't ignore. (Everything looks the same, Samus is too big on the screen, a map is DESPERATELY needed considering it wasn't just a bunch of hallways and shafts like the first game, and finding stuff always means SPIDER BALL AND BOMB EVERY SQUARE OF THE WALL). Good times though.
You gotta admire the simplicity of the Gameboy though. Another cool game for it was Magi Nation. Anyone heard of it?

I never beat the game because around the place where the omega metroids start appearing i couldn't find where to go next @_@ but i'll re-attempt to beat it. I haven't heard of magi nation, yet i'm always open to trying some retrogames. What does the plot revolve around? I believe one of the best titles that should deserve second place next to pokemon for the gameboy is Zelda: Link's awakening and Zelda Oracle of seasons/ages.

I haven't touched Magi Nation in a while, so I'm not entirely sure what the plot was, but the gameplay was a cool Pokemonesque card-gameish battle system. Check it out.
Link's Awakening is fanfreakingtastic. I gotta finish that one still.
The end of Metroid II is pretty difficult. You're pretty much screwed if you didn't spend the entire game collecting EVERY missilie upgrade. You'll get it eventually though.
