New idea from the mind of Dag: create a super team!
What do I mean by that? Well, I propose that we put together a competitive team by using the collaborative efforts of the best and brightest on the forum (I'll just say that's all of us). So, we're going to collaborate on this thread here and come up with the best team possible. We want a team that's as versatile, effective, and solid as we can possibly make it.
We'll go about doing this by choosing the Pokemon on the team one by one. Someone proposes who we use (with a working moveset) and we all critique and discuss it for many posts afterward until we determine that it's good enough and get universal agreement on it.
Step one: propose a lead Pokemon. I'm not gonna dictate the entire team, so I'll let someone else choose how we start it. My only request is that we don't make it a weather team since those are kinda trite.
(Aqua, I'm assuming you approve of this idea/thread. Lemme know of you're completely, opposed too it.)

This seem interesting. Well, I am hope this can work I am probably not going to be much of a help because I am a horrible team-builder.

I'm assuming this is an OU team. If so, there's quite a few possible choices for the lead spot, but I would suggest something like a Choice Scarf Genesect. Great movepool versatility, access to U-Turn, and can become a potent late game cleaner with Download. Moves: Bug Buzz, U-Turn, Flamethrower and Ice Beam.

I think that sounds good. EVs in Sp. Atk and Speed should work. Modest or Timid? I'm leaning towards Modest.
If we put in Genesect, there's no Scizor or Ferrothorn on the team, to x4 fire weakness guys is not a good thing. So, unless we have plans for those guys, Genesect works.

I would suggest running Timid, so that you can at least speed tie with other Genesects, and so that Scarf Rotom wont outspeed and blast you with a Hydro Pump.

Ok. Timid works. Some scarfed Rotom-Ws run HP Fire on it. I'm pretty sure Bug Buzz isn't enough to kill it, so I probably wouldn't want to stay in on one of those with the risk of HP Fire.

We need a Moxie Scrafty. When I stopped playing PO it was such an underused monster.

Does it work well in OU?
Proposed moveset: Bulk Up, Drain Punch, Crunch, Outrage/Fire Punch.
Since it's Moxie, I chose Bulk Up over Dragon Dance since this promotes lastability. Outrage can work well for a Moxie set, but I'm tempted to put Fire Punch there instead to deal with those pesky Ferrothorns before they're a problem.

Ice Punch is a better filler move. Nails Gliscor pretty hard, and gets better coverage overall

Good call. Drain Punch can deal enough if he's boosted.
We agree on Bulk Up though?
EVs in attack and speed and Jolly natured? Unless you want to trade off some attack for HP since this is a Moxie set anyway. Already boosting, plus this promotes lastability.
156 HP - 100 Atk - 252 Speed
Holding a Life Orb since we're constantly recovering with Drain Punch.
Objections?

I think we may need a Wall or something that puts sweepers into Rest. I would suggest Sableye with prankster, run with a lagging tail/iron ball with the move trick. However, i'm not a expert at battling.

Sableye doesn't really work well in the OU environment. He's not bulky enough to take powerful hits so he can't work as a wall.
As for Scrafty, if we are running a Moxie set, Dragon Dance is a better set up move. Bulk Up works better with the Specially Defensive set with Shed Skin. Life Orb would be the prefered item, but Lum Berry is also an option, to prevent stray burns. EVs should be Max Attack and Speed.

Yeah, Sableye will get raped in OU. I'm favoring the Life Orb over Lum Berry. The burn wouldn't be much of an issue since attack's already gonna be really high and Drain Punch makes up for any lost HP.

This seems as an interesting thread, and i must agree with Zero, Dragon dance with life orb is our best way to go. Yet we must keep in mind our weaknesses, we have weakness to fight,Fly,Fire. A good ghost wall could be useful for inmunity to Fight. I would suggest Jelliscent as it covers aswell weakness to fire and gains us an extra inmunity we can use to add another pokemon(water absorb). Suggested moves: Scald, recover, shadowball, toxic.

For Scrafty DD is better because if you can get a couple of them in, Scrafty is really fast and the boosted attack helps him KO an opponent right away. Then Moxie in the mix = gg
