Since I'm assuming a lot of us also play non-Nintendo games, this thread belongs on this board.
For me, the best was Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Pretty much everything felt right about that game: the combat, the stupidly awesome story, the characters, the MUSIC, and the cinematic scenes of pure adrenaline-laced awesome.
And the worst would be Devil May Cry 2. It was a HUGE disappointment considering how AMAZING the first one was. It seems like all of the forgivable flaws of the first game were flushed out and made worse by the terrible design on DMC2. It was a pretty painful gaming experience and I'm never going back. I only played it because it was in the way of Devil May Cry 3...
How bout you guys?

I've got to say my best game recently was also MGR. The Music was amazing and was just fun to play through.
I haven't played any games that were too bad, so I guess I don't have a worst game :/

Best game that I ever played: It is a tie for me, and those two games are Pokemon Black 2 or Mega Man Starforce. Worst game that I ever played: I really don't know, so yeah.

Best game I've played recently? Fire Emblem Awakening hands down for the same reasons why Dag liked MGR lol
Worst game I've played recently? Well the worst games I've played so far were MMBN 4 Blue Moon, and MMSF 2 Zerker/Ninja. Those games were straight up awful

Best Game I've played recently: Shin Megami Tensei (SNES)- GOD DAMN. I have been missing out. This game is the king of RPGs and provides a good challenge. Can't wait to play the rest. Worst game I've played recently: Terraria- This game is basically a 2D Minecraft. And I already don't play Minecraft because I'm not into it. There's really no point for me.

I've been playing visual novels lately, so my best and worst are both visual novels.
Best recent game: Saya no Uta. It's a horror visual novel with a BRILLIANT premise. The main character is the victim of a car accident and the life-saving surgery they performed on his brain leaves him with a condition that causes him to see, hear, feel, experience everything around him as hideous, grotesque, gory abominations (like literally everything, not just people). However, there is a single person that he sees as human, this chick named Saya. She's the only thing tethering him to his sanity. And the story follows his descent further into madness and his now rejected friends trying to help him and figure out what his deal is. I highly recommend it. (Being a visual novel, like 99% of them, it has some adult content in it, but all of those scenes are actually important story and character development moments, so it's done pretty tastefully. Play it if you aren't offended by that stuff).
Worst recent game: Never7 - The End of Infinity. It's the first game of the series that Ever17 is in. Now, it's not necessarily bad, just the worst one I've played recently. There are about 6 storylines. The first two are really damn good (especially the first one, hit me REALLY hard in the feels). Then the other ones are kind of lacking in comparison. The reason I'm calling this the worst game I've played recently is that the true ending SUCKED. I mean, it sucked A LOT. They build up a whole bunch of mindboggling plot twists, then end it very abruptly by saying that everything that just blew your mind in the past 30 minutes was nothing but a misunderstanding and everything is okay, screw you, go home. Ugh.... THAT LEFT ME WITH NO CLOSURE! And there's another route available after the true ending, but it's literally a joke (as in it's supposed to be funny). And the actually plot within that one also ends REALLY abruptly. Still worth playing on the merit Yuka's and Haruka's story alone, but don't get your hopes up.
