Lately i've been interested in some overlooked pokemon in sandstorm, due to rock types getting more sp def and non-Steel rock and ground types getting recoil damage. So i thought about regirock who's defense was already massive to take on a full charged close combat. Name: Elvis Ability: Clear Body Item:Leftovers Nature: Adamant(+Atk -SpA) Evs: 196Hp, 60Atk, 252SpD Moves: -Curse -Drain punch -Stone Edge -Thunderwave/Toxic/Substitute So imagine a pokemon who's defense is 436 at max IV's with no other boost, and who's Special Defense is increased x1.5 in a sandstorm, has decent attack and access to a move that increases atk and def. At first glance regirock might seem very vulnerable, but with proper hp evs he can take on pretty strong blows, he can take on a terrakion's close combat twice! Now he having a defense boost and attack boost he can make use of drain punch to make up for lost hp and have stone edge for a STAB attack and taking also coverage over flying types. Regirock's last move is a variable depending on what your team needs to most, thunderwave can be used to stop sweepers such as Dragonite. While also substitute presents a chance to avoid status problems and toxic to take on walls that can take a fully charged attack from regirock. Of curse the way to best counter this regirock is changing weather to rain and having a politoed attack with a massive charged water move. Now i may like to hear your opinions and own sets you make of regirock.

I think I faced this exact set in UU, when Sandstorm was allowed down there. He was pretty scary, not gonna lie. I had to Toxic stall the damn bastard XD

Great idea! I really love the idea of it, but I feel as if it would require a cleric to be effective. Set up a curse on a special attacker, t wave an uncoming terrakion, and drain punch the shit out of him! Also fix SpA to SPD-just a typo that may confuse some people
