Or Azumarill (who resists its dual STABs btw, and has decent bulk)

It'd be a shame... if used Sucker Punch TWICE. Sorry, just had too. Mega Blaziken isn't that much of a problem with Gale Wings Talonflame anyway. Our 16th rule is an evil thing.Blaziken can be revenge-killed by a few Pokemon, but the fact that you have to rely on some of the most powerful priority moves in the game to revenge-kill it show that it can be quite powerful at times. Other candidates we should consider are Mawile, Carbink, and Gengar.

Nice! I should have an updated list of people on the first page now.

Great! I'll add you to the list. It would be great if we had 3 more people to have a nice bracket.

I don't really want to join until a ban list is confirmed, though, so I know who to train.

Well we did give a ban list... and It looks like that's what we're going with for the tourney. If we wait too long on a one where all of the "broken" things go to Ubers, then that would take too long.

I so far have completely, and legally, EV trained two guys so far. So by this tourney, I should have a good stock of fully EV trained Pokemon...

EV training is simple in this gen, the problem are the IVs and nature, one must be pretty good at breeding to complete such a task of a good IV+Nature.

EV training is quite fast with the advent of hordes. Simply rack up easy battle points at the Battle Institute in Lumiose City, buy the appropriate Power item (e.g. Power Weight for HP; it says so in the in-game item description), and equip it onto the Pokemon you want to EV train in that stat. Get a Pokemon with Sweet Scent (the Masquerains you find surfing in the pond on Route 3 have it), and when you use it in an area with wild Pokemon, a horde of low-level Pokemon will appear. EXP Share shares EVs as well, so just have the Pokemon you want to EV train sit in your party while a high-level Pokemon spams Surf or Earthquake or something. Here are some good routes. Make sure to run away if you're facing the wrong Pokemon hordes. HP - Route 5 (Gulpin) Atk - Route 19 (Weepinbell, Arbok) Def - Route 18 (Geodude, Durant) SpA - Frost Cavern (Vanillite, Smoochum) SpD - Route 7 (Hoppip) Spe - Route 8 (Wingull)
IVs are pretty much the reason why I'm not sure I want to participate.

IVs are pretty much the reason why I'm not sure I want to participate. Now how is that an excuse with Steelgrass's competitive breeding center where we control 5 IV's, Nature, egg moves, and any type of abilities wanted(including hidden)

Don't be so harsh but yeah it's actually really easy to breed this gen, so if you want your good iv pokes, this is the gen to do it.
